Born on 6 January 1839 on the Thimgaard farming estate, Christian, as he was called, was a son of Otto August la Cour (no. 12) and Ane Cathrine la Cour. After apprenticing in farming, he bought the Kongsgård farm in 1859 and married
Sophie Johanne Marie la Cour (née Schmidt) on 1 March 1861. Sophie was born on 20 January 1840 at Østergård, a farm near Grenaa, and her parents were Niels Ole Jørgen Secher Schmidt and Margrethe Sophie Leopoldine Mohr. Christian sold the Kongsgård farm in 1868 and bought another farming estate, Lihmegaard, in 1869. In the autumn of 1894, he and his wife moved to the town of Randers and left the farm to their eldest son, who sold it in 1898. After moving to Helsted, the couple later moved to Odder. Frederik died in January 1914 in Odder, four years after his wife Sophie, who died on 29 September 1910. (Seventeen children: the Lihmegaard Line.)
