45 Peter Worm

Peter was born on 28 September 1788, a son of Peder Worm and Appolone Dorothea Worm (no. 07). The 1801 census records Peter, his mother and his younger brother as living with his uncle Jørgen (no. 09) in Odder. We do not know exactly when he married Louise Theodora Petrine Hjort, a woman born on 21 December 1800, but the 1834 census indicates that Peter was pastor for Hyllested, a village on the peninsula of Djursland, and lived at the parsonage there together with his wife, their three children, his mother Appelone (no. 07), his cousin Engel Katrine Worm, and his nephew Fritz Absalon Worm (no. 56), who was in their care. The family also had six servants in their household at the time. By 1860, Fritz, Pauline (no. 47) and Frederik (no. 48) had moved out, but Karen Appolone (no. 49) was still living at home at the age of 30. Her future husband, Knud Schott Deichmann, was a curate* and also lived at the parsonage, along with six servants. Peter later also became pastor for Hornbæk. Peter died on 31 January 1865, and his wife Louise followed him on 25 April 1881. (Three children: nos. 47- 49.)
