57 Karen Abelone Dorothea Deichmann (née Worm)

Karen was born on 23 November 1830 in Hyllested to Peter Worm (no. 45) and Louise Theodora Petrine Hjort. Sometime around 1861, Karen married Knud Schott Deichmann, a man born on 7 November 1832 in Uldbjerg in Viborg county. The 1860 census records Knud as a curate* in Kistrup, a village near Randers, and living at the parsonage with his future father-in-law Peter Worm (no. 45). The 1870 census lists Karen and Knud, by then the pastor for Møborg parish, as living at the parsonage with their nine-year-old foster son and a maid. According to the 1880 census, Knud was a pastor living with his wife Karen, their 11-year-old foster son and four servants on a farm in Dallerup parish. Karen died on 1 June 1900; the 1901 census records Knud as pastor for Hvidbjerg and Lyngs, living in Semb with his niece Thyra Elisa Worm (no. 57-3) as his housekeeper plus four more servants. Knud passed away on 11 November 1906. (No children.)
